Micro Needling Explained
Micro needling uses a process of advanced skin micro-needling to produce natural, long-lasting results in skin rejuvenation. Micro needling devices come in the form of a sterile, high quality titanium roller comprised of very fine needles. The advanced micro-needling procedure is designed to stimulate your skin, encouraging it to regenerate and repair itself naturally, producing smoother, brighter, younger and healthier looking skin.
During treatment this device is guided across the skin with the objective of creating thousands of tiny channels, allowing the body to use its natural recovery process to renew the skin; when these microscopic channels are made, deep into the dermis (middle layers) of the skin, the body is stimulated into producing new collagen. The skin becomes thicker with an increase of over 400% in collagen deposition. During this process there will be visible blood spotting, this will not be visible after the treatment
Directly after the treatment the skin can resemble moderate sun burn but you can cover this with make up. In the few days following your treatment you may experience dryness and redness, this is normal and everyone's experience is different. After a few days your skin will begin to look completely normal again, this is when your body will naturally start to regenerate itself working in the dermis below the skin surface and new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visual signs of repair are seen and continue over the following months; it is recommended that treatments are taken 4-6 weeks apart.
The treatment is suitable for the face and body, it can produce fantastic results in the reduction of wrinkles, sun-damage, acne scars and stretch marks and enables you to naturally renew and restore your skin’s clear, toned and healthy appearance with minimal time from your life/work commitments
